Nakon ljetnog dvobroja evo i novog, rujanskog broja Mahnićeva slova! Na koncu kolovoza, točnije 30. kolovoza, spomenuli smo se dana svećeničkog ređenja sluge Božjega koji se dogodio u Gorizi 1874. godine. Rujan je u znaku 170. rođendana sluge Božjega Mahnića. Naime, sluga Božji rodio se 14. rujna 1850. u selu Kobdilj koje pripada župi Štanjel, na sjevernom rubu Goričkog Krasa (Slovenija). Zato želimo ovaj broj posvetiti Mahniću i njegovoj obitelji te odškrinuti vrata njegovim mislima i učenju o obitelji. Sluga Božji učitelj je vjere. Klice vjere i prve korake u vjeri stječemo u svojim obiteljima u kojima odrastamo i u kojima se spremamo za još sasvim nepoznat život koji je pred nama. U obitelji započinje otkrivanje naših darova i talenata koje je Gospodin Bog namijenio za svakoga od nas ne bismo li svojim životom posvjedočili svoju ljubav prema Bogu i bližnjemu.
